Karmod, a Turkish manufacturer known for modular industrial solutions, has recently completed the export of four stainless steel silo tanks to a food production facility in Benghazi, Libya. These advanced tanks, each with a capacity of 10,000 liters, were engineered to endure the extreme temperatures and environmental challenges prevalent in North African climates.
Manufactured from 304L-grade stainless steel, a low-carbon variant noted for its superior heat resistance & anti-corrosion properties, these tanks represent Karmod's strategic push into critical infrastructure markets across the MENA region.

The 304L stainless steel used in the tanks allows them to remain stable under high heat and humid conditions, a common issue in regions like Libya. The tanks were not only built for resilience but also designed for efficiency. According to Talay Ozturk, General Manager of Karmod’s Composite Division:
“The 304L stainless steel we used contains lower carbon levels, offering improved resistance to heat and corrosion.”
In addition, each tank was outfitted with custom footings that raise the base 60 centimeters above ground, a design enhancement that improves usability in industrial settings where space & mobility are key considerations.
