Murfatlar Vinul, a paragon of the Romanian viticultural tradition, has achieved international recognition by clinching several prestigious medals at the "Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2024." The newly launched Aerosoli and Statornic ranges, along with the acclaimed 3 Hectare series, were the stars of this illustrious competition, which is one of the most respected in the world, gathering elite wine experts and connoisseurs to evaluate the finest wines globally.

At the competition, Murfatlar Vinul secured two gold medals for the 3 Hectare Cabernet Sauvignon Rosé 2023 and 3 Hectare Chardonnay 2022. The former is a light wine with fresh berry aromas and moderate acidity, while the latter impresses with its complexity, featuring tropical fruit notes and a subtle hint of vanilla from oak maturation. Additionally, the 3 Hectare Sauvignon Blanc 2023 won a silver medal, characterized by its moderate acidity and fresh floral and tropical fruit aromas.

Two more silver medals were awarded to Murfatlar Vinul for the Aerosoli Fetească Neagră & Pinot Noir Rosé 2023, an elegant blend with delicate raspberry and citrus aromas, and the Statornic Sauvignon Blanc 2022, known for its pleasant acidity and green fruit characteristics.

This year's competition, held from June 7-9 in Guanajuato, Mexico, showcased no fewer than 7,500 wines from 42 countries worldwide. For 2025, the organizers have chosen Romania as the next destination for the rosé competition, set to take place from March 28-30 in Constanța.

The medals obtained at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles place Murfatlar on the global viticulture map, demonstrating that Romanian wines can successfully compete alongside the most renowned international labels. Murfatlar Vinul is one of the largest and most respected wine producers in the country, with a long tradition of vine cultivation and wine production. Founded in 1943 as the Murfatlar Viticulture Experimental Station, the company currently boasts over 3,000 hectares in the regions of Murfatlar, Valul lui Traian, Poarta Albă, and Siminoc.
