Tata Steel Netherlands Reports Robust Growth in Steel Production and Deliveries for FY25

In its provisional results for fiscal year 2025 (FY25), Tata Steel Netherlands has showcased impressive growth across both production and delivery metrics. Liquid steel production in the third quarter of FY25 reached 1.76 million metric tons, marking a solid increase from the previous quarter’s 1.66 million metric tons and a significant year-on-year surge from 1.19 million metric tons in Q3 of FY24.

The company’s delivery volumes also saw a slight uptick, reaching 1.53 million metric tons in Q3 FY25, compared to 1.5 million metric tons in the previous quarter. On a y-o-y basis, deliveries increased from 1.3 million metric tons in Q3 FY24. This steady rise in production and deliveries reflects the growing demand for Tata Steel’s products, fueled by both domestic and international markets.

Strong Nine-Month Performance

The first nine months of FY25 have been particularly strong for Tata Steel Netherlands, with production volumes reaching 5.12 million metric tons, a remarkable 54% increase compared to 3.32 million metric tons in the same period of the previous fiscal year. This growth in production is attributed to both operational efficiencies and higher demand for steel products. Alongside production growth, deliveries rose to 4.5 million metric tons, up 16% y-o-y from 3.89 million metric tons in FY24.

The company attributes the growth in deliveries primarily to the higher production volumes, which have enabled Tata Steel Netherlands to meet rising customer demand both in its domestic market and internationally. A notable component of the delivery increase is the 120,000 metric tons shipped to Tata’s UK operations, further strengthening the synergies between Tata Steel’s global operations.
