Odisha’s Ambitious $465 Million Shipbreaking Hub Project
On January 17, 2025, the government of Odisha revealed plans to establish a dedicated shipbreaking and recycling hub at Paradip Port, with an estimated investment of $465 million. The project marks a significant step toward bolstering the state's maritime logistics sector and expanding its port capabilities. The Paradip Port Authority will spearhead the initiative, aiming to make Paradip a key center for ship recycling.
