Founded in 1984 by partners Glenn Tabolt and Jim Stori, STS Steel has established itself as a key player in the fabrication of components for bridges, buildings, and highways across the nation and beyond. The company operates from a historic site, the last remaining building of the American Locomotive Company, which ceased operations in the 1960s.

The anniversary celebration featured tours and activities aimed at engaging local students with hands-on experiences in the steel industry. “Steel Day” not only highlighted the company’s legacy but also emphasized the critical need for skilled workers in the trades. Mayor Gary McCarthy even participated in the festivities, trying his hand at welding to demonstrate support for local craftsmanship.

As STS Steel looks to the future, the company continues to seek energetic individuals for rewarding careers in steel fabrication, reinforcing its commitment to growth and community engagement.
