Leeco Steel, recognized as the largest supplier of steel plate in North America, has recently made strategic changes to its sales leadership team. Announced on October 14, 2024, these promotions are aimed at bolstering the company’s processing business and facilitating overall growth. The newly appointed leaders will play pivotal roles in driving sales and enhancing customer service across various regions.
Bob Bartley and Pat Pennington have both been promoted to the position of Regional Sales Manager Processing, effective October 1, 2024. In their new roles, they will collaborate closely to expand Leeco’s plate processing operations. Mr. Bartley will oversee regions in the eastern, Midwest, and southeastern United States, while Mr. Pennington will manage sales efforts in the northern, southern, and western United States, as well as Canada.
Andy Polka, Director of Processing Commercial at Leeco Steel, expressed confidence in the promotions, stating, “Bob’s dedication to enhancing our commercial processing operations makes him an ideal leader for this team.” Bartley, who joined Leeco in 2011 as a Sales Representative in the Pittsburgh-area office, has steadily climbed the ranks, demonstrating a strong commitment to the company’s sales leadership.
Similarly, Pat Pennington has been a valuable asset to Leeco since joining in 2015 as a Sales Representative in the Houston sales office. He has held various leadership roles, culminating in his recent promotion from National Sales Manager Commercial. Polka highlighted Pennington's contributions, stating, “With his leadership, we anticipate sustained growth and success for Leeco’s processing team.”
In addition to Bartley and Pennington’s promotions, Leeco also elevated Aaron Flaherty to Sales Manager in Houston, effective the same date. Flaherty will manage a team focused on serving customers in and around Houston, an area critical to Leeco’s operations. John Purcell, Vice President of Sales at Leeco, noted Flaherty’s extensive experience in managing key customer accounts in the region, which positions him well to understand market dynamics and client needs.
Flaherty’s journey with Leeco began in 2018 when he joined as a Sales Representative at the Houston sales office. He quickly made a mark, advancing to Account Manager in 2023, where he managed significant accounts throughout Texas. Purcell emphasized that “Aaron’s expertise and leadership will be instrumental in driving Leeco’s growth in this region,” highlighting the importance of local knowledge in sales success.
