The delivery volumes for the second quarter of FY2025 reflect a positive trend, particularly in Tata Steel India, where domestic deliveries reached 5.10 million metric tons, up 5% from 4.82 million metric tons in the same quarter of FY2024. Here are the detailed delivery figures:

- Tata Steel India: Delivered 5.10 million metric tons, compared to 4.94 million metric tons in the previous quarter and 4.82 million metric tons year-over-year.

- Tata Steel Netherlands: Deliveries stood at 1.57 million metric tons, an increase from 1.47 million metric tons in the previous quarter and 1.23 million metric tons year-over-year.

- Tata Steel UK: Delivered 0.64 million metric tons, slightly down from 0.68 million metric tons in the previous quarter but comparable to 0.73 million metric tons in the same quarter last year.

Tata Steel's domestic deliveries in India have shown notable dynamics across various product verticals:

1. Automotive & Special Products: Deliveries in this vertical were marginally lower on a year-over-year basis. However, over the first half of FY2025, deliveries remained stable at around 1.6 million metric tons.

2. Branded Products & Retail: This segment experienced a 3% increase in deliveries year-over-year, driven by the strong performance of established brands. Notably, Tata Tiscon saw a remarkable 20% rise in deliveries, achieving its best-ever sales in the second quarter. For the half-year period, deliveries in this category increased by 4% to 3.3 million metric tons.

3. Industrial Products & Projects: Deliveries increased by 4% year-over-year, with significant growth in value-added segments, particularly in Engineering. Over the first half of FY2025, deliveries remained stable at around 3.6 million metric tons.

Tata Steel Aashiyana, the company's e-commerce platform aimed at individual home builders, reported revenues of Rs. 1,263 crores, marking the best-ever figures for the first half of the financial year. This growth has been supported by various strategic initiatives, including the migration to an in-house transaction platform, enhancing customer experience and operational efficiency.

In September 2024, Tata Steel India successfully commissioned India’s largest blast furnace at Kalinganagar. This expansion is expected to significantly increase India's crude steel capacity to 26.6 million metric tons per annum, reinforcing Tata Steel's position as a leading player in the steel industry.

Tata Steel Netherlands reported liquid steel production of 1.68 million metric tons, which is stable compared to the previous quarter and shows growth year-over-year. Deliveries from this operation were 1.57 million metric tons, including approximately 0.19 million metric tons shipped to the UK operations.

In the UK, Tata Steel's liquid steel production stood at 0.38 million metric tons, while deliveries were around 0.64 million metric tons. This reflects the company's ongoing adjustments as operations at the remaining blast furnace at Port Talbot have ceased, paving the way for the next generation of green steelmaking.
