The Cloud Native Computing Foundation® has announced the addition of more than 26 new silver members and end-user supporters to its ever-growing community. This announcement underscores CNCF’s commitment to advancing cloud-native technologies and fostering a sustainable ecosystem for cloud-native software. The foundation, which celebrated the tenth anniversary of Kubernetes, continues to attract a diverse array of organizations committed to pushing the boundaries of cloud-native technology.

The new members join CNCF at a pivotal time, as cloud-native solutions increasingly dominate industries such as artificial intelligence, financial operations, platform engineering, and cloud security. Among the new members are 42on, a firm specializing in Ceph infrastructures; Alien6, a French IT strategy consultancy; and Amnic, a cloud cost observability platform. Fastly, known for its programmable edge cloud platform, also joins the ranks, enhancing CNCF's efforts to create secure, scalable, and fast digital experiences.

These organizations will come together at several upcoming CNCF-hosted events, including KubeCon + CloudNativeCon + Open Source Summit + AI_dev China in Hong Kong, KubeCon + CloudNativeCon North America in Salt Lake City, and KubeCon + CloudNativeCon India in Delhi. These events provide a platform for members to share knowledge, collaborate on projects, and discuss the future of cloud-native computing.

42on is known for designing, building, supporting, and managing Ceph infrastructures with a focus on technology and dedicated teamwork. Alien6 partners with CTOs to integrate and scale AI, aligning strategic and operational visions to foster innovation. Amnic helps organizations debug their cloud costs at different levels of granularity, allocate spending more efficiently, and act early against runaway cloud spend. Fastly’s edge cloud platform assists developers in creating secure and scalable digital experiences.

In addition to these silver members, several end-user supporters have also joined CNCF, including E.ON, a leading European energy network operator, and MasterControl, a compliance software provider for life science companies. These end-user supporters play a crucial role in the CNCF End User Community, which now comprises over 160 organizations. This community meets regularly to share adoption best practices and provide feedback on project roadmaps and future projects for CNCF technical leaders to consider.

Other notable new members include Arcjet, a security layer for developers, and Chainloop, which offers a Software Supply Chain Control Plane to provide visibility, automated compliance, and security across the entire software development lifecycle. CloudFerro specializes in cloud computing services with a focus on big data sets for specific industries, while DBOS, co-founded by Postgres creator Mike Stonebraker, provides a cloud platform to make cloud-native back-ends easier to build, scale, observe, and secure.

The addition of these organizations highlights the CNCF’s commitment to fostering innovation and collaboration in the cloud-native space. Each member brings unique expertise and solutions that contribute to the advancement of cloud-native technologies. For instance, Daytona, an open-source development environment manager, allows the setup of development environments on any infrastructure with a single command. DeeperThanBlue helps organizations modernize and accelerate their digital transformation using cloud-native solutions, Kubernetes, DevOps, CI/CD, and Data Analytics.

The CNCF continues to drive forward the adoption of cloud-native technologies with a focus on security, efficiency, and innovation. By bringing together diverse organizations and fostering a collaborative environment, the foundation is shaping the future of cloud-native computing. The new members and end-user supporters are expected to play a significant role in this ongoing journey, contributing their expertise and solutions to the broader cloud-native ecosystem.
