In a significant development for the agricultural machinery industry in Japan, Mitsubishi Mahindra Agricultural Machineryand CNH, a world-class equipment and services company, have signed a distributor agreement for Case IH agricultural machinery. The agreement, inked on June 1, 2024, by Toru Saito, Chief Executive Officer of MAM, marks a new chapter in the long-standing relationship between the two companies.

Under the new agreement, MAM will expand its sales and service of Case IH products beyond Hokkaido, where it currently operates, to cover the entire nation. This move is particularly significant as farmland sizes in the Honshu and Kyushu regions are growing, creating a demand for larger agricultural machinery.

Despite the overall market shrinking, the demand for tractors of 100 horsepower or more is steadily growing. Currently, Case IH's main offerings in Japan are tractors in the 100-200 horsepower range, and MAM plans to work closely with CNH to enhance its product lineup to better serve the needs of Japanese farmers.
