In a significant stride towards the all-optical 10G era, ZTE Corporation, a global frontrunner in integrated information and communication technology solutions, collaborated with China Mobile at the China Mobile 10G Network Innovation and Quality Improvement Conference held in Xiong'an, Hebei province, China. As a pivotal partner in the operator's 10G network innovation endeavor, ZTE actively participated in the conference, showcasing its cutting-edge solutions and conducting field trials that underscore its commitment to advancing all-optical 10G speeds.

During the conference, Ma Xiaosong, Director of the FM Product Marketing and Solution Team at ZTE, delivered a thought-provoking keynote speech titled "Jointly Building New-Quality Networks and Leading the Evolution to All-Optical 10G Speeds." Ma emphasized the critical role of all-optical broadband networks as a new type of infrastructure essential for stable national growth and a cornerstone for operators' service operation. He highlighted how improvements in broadband speed and quality enhance user experience and drive new forms of information consumption. With China having already deployed world-leading all-optical gigabit networks, the country has embarked on a new cycle of 10G network construction.

ZTE, in close collaboration with China Mobile, has been at the forefront of addressing the five major challenges associated with the transition of 50-Gigabit-capable Passive Optical Network, 50G-PON, technology from tests and trials to mature commercial use. These challenges encompass technological complexity, industrial breakthroughs, scenario expansion, digital intelligence integration, and value operation. ZTE has diligently worked to meet China Mobile's technical requirements and milestone targets, assisting the operator in spearheading technology innovation, industry stewardship, and application piloting in the 50G PON domain.

To support China Mobile's endeavors, ZTE provided an 8-port full-rate 50G PON card that seamlessly integrates three technology generations and five access modes, along with a 50G PON Optical Network Unit and a 50G PON Fiber To The Room ully integrated optical business gateway solution. With these offerings, ZTE successfully completed technical verification tests, including multi-service Quality of Service, full configuration of 64 ONUs, and service compatibility. Furthermore, the company conducted 10G full-service all-scenario tests encompassing To-Home Internet speed, IPTV, 8K video, cloud Virtual Reality gaming, cloud Network Attached Storage services, To-Consumer small cell services, and To-Business services.

In a groundbreaking pilot carried out at Xiong'an Zangang Concrete, ZTE demonstrated the transformative potential of combining 50G PON and FTTR technologies. By constructing a 10G all-optical network covering quality inspection, office, and safety scenarios, ZTE laid a digital and intelligent foundation for the enterprise. Through the implementation of Internet of Things automation, digitalization of remote centralized management, and intelligentization of safety monitoring and quality inspection based on Automated Optical Inspection, the pilot revolutionized the traditional concrete industry. It addressed the industry's heavy reliance on manual labor, vulnerability to safety risks, and poor working environment, ultimately achieving an efficient, safe, and healthy digital production process.

ZTE's unwavering commitment to independent innovation in core 50G PON capabilities, including components, systems, and algorithms, has yielded significant breakthroughs in high-speed, burst, and long-distance 50G PON technology. Building on these advancements, the company has accelerated technology iteration, improved technology processes, and developed 32dB+ high-power and Small Form-Factor Pluggable + optical modules. ZTE's new series of 50G PON FTTR main ONTs boasts powerful capabilities of 10-Gigabit-capable Symmetric Passive Optical Network, XGS-PON, 10 Gigabit Ethernet, and Wi-Fi 7 access.
