Stratom, based in Louisville, Colorado, has unveiled plans to create a revolutionary material handling system tailored for the U.S. Special Operations Command. This innovative system is designed to lift, load, unload, and transport palletized 463L tactical cargo across diverse operating environments and terrains.

The company is actively engaged in a Small Business Innovation Research Phase I project in collaboration with USSOCOM and SOFWERX. The SBIR program supports startups and small businesses to drive technological innovation, address federal research needs, and promote commercialization in various markets.

Jesse Weifenbach, the lead vehicle systems engineer at Stratom, highlighted the company's commitment to refining the design of the material handling system. By integrating proven technologies into a streamlined solution, Stratom aims to optimize cargo operations for USSOCOM and the Air Force, ensuring enhanced efficiency and safety in challenging scenarios.

Mark Gordon, President, and CEO of Stratom emphasized the importance of the new system in streamlining combat cargo offloading processes. The compact and powerful nature of the vehicle, weighing less than 10,000 lb. (4,535.9 kg), ensures agility and readiness for immediate deployment upon landing, addressing the evolving needs of modern military operations.

Stratom's expertise in autonomous ground vehicles and robotic systems is evident in its portfolio, including the eXpeditionary Robotic Platform and the Autonomous Pallet Loader. These systems have been instrumental in enhancing logistics and operational applications for both military and commercial purposes.

The company's commitment to innovation extends to its ongoing efforts to integrate the Summit off-road autonomy architecture onto its existing platforms. This initiative aims to further automate cargo operations for military aircraft, demonstrating Stratom's dedication to advancing technological solutions in the field of robotics.

Stratom's focus on lightweight, flight-ready material-handling equipment underscores the military's shift towards agile combat deployment in expeditionary environments. By prioritizing safety, efficiency, and adaptability, Stratom is poised to address the evolving demands of modern military logistics and operations.
