EHang, in partnership with Xishan Tourism, aims to establish a Low-Altitude Economy Industrial Park in Taiyuan, featuring a command-and-control center, marketing and exhibition center, operations center, research institute, and more. The collaboration leverages EHang's expertise in the low-altitude economy sector and Xishan Tourism's cultural and tourism resources to create the largest eVTOL UAM operation base in North China.

The joint efforts will kick off with the construction of EH216-S low-altitude sightseeing demonstration centers in scenic areas like Xishan Mountain and Fenhe River in Taiyuan. The long-term plan is to expand the application of pilotless eVTOLs to Shanxi Province and North China, stimulating the growth of the low-altitude industry in the region. Shanxi Province is a national demonstration province for general aviation industry development, and Taiyuan City is a national civil unmanned aviation demonstration zone, providing a conducive environment for the growth of the low-altitude economy.

Earlier this year, a delegation from Shanxi provincial government visited EHang's headquarters, where Governor Xiangjun Jin praised EHang's contributions to the low-altitude economy. Xishan Tourism Chairman Yaozong Chang expressed enthusiasm for collaborating with EHang to create a new low-altitude economy ecosystem, focusing on 'low-altitude + cultural tourism' use cases. EHang's Founder, Chairman, and CEO, Huazhi Hu, highlighted the Chinese government's support for the low-altitude economy and eVTOL industry, emphasizing EHang's commitment to expanding its presence in the Chinese market and driving sustainable growth in the low-altitude ecosystem.

This significant order from Taiyuan marks a milestone for EHang as it positions itself to pioneer commercial UAM operations. The collaboration with Xishan Tourism is set to establish a benchmark for the low-altitude economy in the city and introduce more low-altitude use cases in Shanxi and beyond, aligning with the goal of bringing pilotless eVTOLs to more cities and fostering the sustainable development of China's low-altitude ecosystem.
